Katlax enterprises presents connector-type right angle photoelectric sensors. These sensors through-beam type switches offer sensing range up to 5 m. To be precise, these sensors are designed for applications involving non-contact detection for measuring, counting and positioning. Emitter and receiver are in separate housing facing each other with their optical axes matched. Whenever light beam is interrupted, sensors switches on. Reflex type sensors are available in two versions, i.E, diffused bean reflex sensor and retro-reflective reflex sensor. In diffused beam reflex sensor, the emitter and receiver are in the same housing. The emitter sends beam of pulsed infrared light. Only a small portion of light diffused by object in all directions is sensed, which switches the sensor. In retro-reflective reflex sensor, with the emitter and receiver in the same housing, light reflected by tripple prism reflector or reflecting tape opposite to the sensor is sensed. The sensor switches when light beam is interrupted. These sensors find applications in monitoring doors and gates, counting and monitoring objects over large distances, distinguishing and sorting of objects according to their volumes and degree of reflection, height deflection of stacked objects, control of randomly positioned objects on conveyor, etc.
