Electronic relays [india] supplies three phase ssr for controlling the motor in forward and reverse direction in a maxi pack by replacing two contactors with ac input control. This ssr is electrically safe as there is no phase connected directly to the motor. Motor forward / reverse solid state contactor is fully solid state andsuitable for low/medium power applications. Like in contactor the i/p control is ac 230 vhence there is no need to have a dc power supply. It is offered in instant turn-on type with a capacity to handle motor loads of 0.12 kw to 3 kw. This relay comprises two control inputs, one for running the motor in the clockwise direction and the other to run it in the anti-clockwise direction. The reversing of direction is achieved by mean of phase reversal of the supply voltage. The relay has to be protected against short circuits by using high wattage resistors.
