Rotary Vacuum Drum Filter is available in various sizes that ranges up to 1000 sq. Ft. The drum skims the surface of the broth as vacuum picks up waste and allows filtrate to be sucked through a vacuum receiver. The filtrate is pumped to the next step of the process and the waste, or cake is cut/scraped off the drum and sent to a trailer or bin. Depending upon the type of sludge, the dewatered solid discharge mechanism can be in different configurations like belt discharge, knife discharge, and string discharge. These units can also be provided in carbon steel and stainless steel construction to meet specific application requirement.
