The Tertiary Butyl per Benzoate-T.B.P.B is an active source of free radicals for high temperature [100-150 Degree C] polymerization of vinyl, acrylic, alkyl and olefin monomers. It is suitable for heat – curing of unsaturated resins. It is commonly used when long shelf-life is required, as in sheet/dough moulding compounds [SMC/DMC]. The usage level is normally 1% - 1 ½% on the weight of the polyester resin, depending on the formulation and the curing conditions.
