Graphite Shell and Tube Heat Ex-changer is suitable for highly corrosive/ acidic media and tubes, tube sheets and end-covers are made using impervious graphite. The Ex-changer has shell, baffles and tie rods which are made using mild steel. The Ex-changer has working temperature ranging from 150 to 160 ° c and working pressure ranging from 3 to 4 kg/ sq cm. The Graphite Shell and Tube Heat Ex-changer is available for up to 40 sq m surface area and is used for the cooling and absorption of acids like hydrochloric acid.
