Chemical & industrial engineers offers check valves. The versatile types are swing check for horizontal and vertical mounting with flow bottom to upward direction. Valves are rigid in construction. The disc is stellited, which avoids the dent formation and valves are totally leak proof for backpressure test. Disc is fully openable and hence the pressure drop across the valve is negligible. Check valves are used to permit flow of fluids through a system in use. The swing check valve uses fluid pressure to open and gravity to shut. The disk is attached to the body by a pin. As fluid pressure presses against the underside of the valve, the disk is pushed off the seat. When fluid pressure can no longer hold the disk open, the weight of the disk will cause it to fall against the seat, preventing any fluid from flowing back through the valve. Size ranges from 2" to 16" in flanged connection and 1/2" to 2" in screwed connection in all sorts of materials such as ci, cs, ss-304/316, brass, bronze, gunmetal. Etc.
