Micon automation systems supplies rs232 to rs485/422 bi-directional isolated interface converters. The model name is atc-107. These are optically isolated. These are able to convert unbalanced full or half duplex rs232 signals to optically isolated balanced full or half duplex rs422 or rs485 signals at baud rates up to 115.2 kbps. It has several exclusive features such as auto selection system; send data control circuitry, so no software control of handshake line is required in rs 485 mode. The model is provided with in built isolator for high voltage [2500 v] protection. Point-to-point, multidrop and simplex operations can be done by these instruments. These instruments requires dc 9 v, 200 ma power. One slide switch is applied to configure the operation mode.
