Jeltron systems manufactures a low cost, solid state soft starter, model lc4. This is suitable for soft start control of standard 3-phase ac squirrel cage induction motors. It offers adjustable starting torque and stepless acceleration. An optional adjustment for deceleration as well as kick-start is available. This thyristor based reduced voltage soft starter is best suited for all kinds of loads. It reduces inrush current by maximum 70% that can eliminate light dimming, power disturbances and voltage transients within the power distribution system. This also greatly minimises wear and tear on power transmission components and avoids product breakage and spillage. Starting torque is adjustable from 0% to 80% and soft start time 60 seconds. These starters have in-built protections such as dv/dt networks, transient voltage suppressor [mov], single phasing, adjustable torque, adjustable time to start, scr short, over voltage, under voltage, over current, under current, motor absent, run relay control, etc. Optionally, it incorporates features like soft stop, kick-start and dual ramp.
