Radix microsystems manufactures microcal portable universal calibrators to calibrate all types of temperature instruments. These calibrators are also useful as thermometers measuring instruments for 10 types of thermocouples, rtds current and voltage inputs. Some of the technical specifications of the universal calibrators are full scale 0.02 percent accuracy for all ranges; microprocessor-based instruments simulate b, e, j, k, r, s, t, w1, w3, and w5 thermocouples by reference to internal tables; c or f temperature entered from membrane keypad and automatic generating of corresponding millivolt output; automatic or manual cold junction compensation. The universal calibrators also measure 0 to 20000 microamps current signal and up to 500 ohms signals; c or f pt-100 rtd measurement or simulation can be done. Internal ni-cd rechargeable batteries can also operate the universal calibrators for 4 to 8 hours per charge. The portable universal calibrators are lightweight and supplied with a battery charger along with calibration certificate with traceability to national and us standards.
