Microcal is used to calibrate all types of temperature instruments. It also functions as measuring instrument or thermometer for 10 types of thermocouples, rtds, current and voltage inputs. Typical accuracy for all ranges is 0.02% of full scale. This microprocessor-based instrument simulates b, e, j, k, r, s, t, w1, w3 and w5 thermocouples by reference to internal tables. Temperature is entered in °c or of from the membrane keypad and the corresponding millivolt output is automatically generated. Cold junction compensation is automatic or manual. Microcal also generates or measures a current signal of 0 to 20,000 micro-amps, and ohms signal up to 500 ohms. Pt100 rtd measurement or simulation can be done in °c or of. Microcal operates on internal ni-cad rechargeable batteries for 4 to 8 hours per charge. A battery charger is included. This compact, lightweight unit is supplied with a calibration certificate with traceability to national/us standards.
