The Air Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensor is a smart sensor for the measurement of temperatures at and around leaves of plants. The sensor was developed for agricultural and horticultural studies. The sensor is an equilibrium sensor with very low thermal inertia and a thermal isolation that makes sure the sensor is open predominantly to one side. A magnetic rider arrangement allows the sensor to be easily attached to a leaf of moderate to large size. In smaller leaves it can be installed somewhere in the neighbourhood of suitably thick vegetation. The Air Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensor basically attempts establishment of thermal equilibrium within a close proximity of the space around leaves.
