K s instruments has introduced launched series kha aluminium housed power wire wound resistors. This which is a range of high quality, high stability resistors designed for direct heat sink attachment. The resistive element is wound onto high thermal conductivity ceramic formers ensuring maximum contact for rapid heat transfer. This element is encapsulated in an aluminium housing by a transfer moulding process which ensures a good humidity seal and permanent compression fit. The encapsulant is a high temperature moulding compound and the special mould tool design ensures accurate concentricity of the resistive element inside the housing, giving a high level of voltage protection. A wide range of resistance values is available in 10, 25, 50 and 100 w. The company can design such resistors for special applications also.
