Metatech offers low cost microhardness tester for measurement of low load vickers hardness. It offers two models, one with manual reading and another with digital readout associated with printer facility. The load selection is completed using graduated drum. There is no chance to shift the indentation image from the selected field of view due to precision optical and indentation alignment. One gets distortion-free indentation as of perfect indenter and loading mechanism. It has test loads ranging from 10 gf to 1000 gf. Magnification of optics is up to 40ox. It finds application in areas like checking vickers/knoop hardness of very small/thin components, individual microconstituents, surface layers like plating/coating, measuring the case depths of case hardness components, etc. The instrument is supplied with facilities like 35 mm slr photomicrography, knoop indenter, direct hardness measurement by imaging system through ccd camera, computer and vpn measurement dedicated software and host of accessories required for checking hardness of various critical components, as an option.
