Shepherd transformer provides energy conservation units. This product is designed to save on lighting load by at least 20 per cent. The saving is on lighting load, which covers all type of lightings & lumineries, fans, computers, printers, fax machines, xerox machines, etc. This unit is designed on the technology that though the rated voltage is specified by lamp manufacturers to start gas discharge lamps, the resulting arc can be started and stabilised at lower voltage also. This voltage reduction is achieved by introducing a virtually load-less impedance in the path to reduce power consumption at optimum level to start and stabilise the lamp without noticeable reduction in light level. In order to save the energy to the extent of maximum level, various models are being developed. The universal model is designed with a basic concept and simple function of saving the energy of lighting load. It has inherent capability to save energy around 22-26 per cent. It is simple to operate and suitable to deal with any unbalance load. This unit is suitable to work continuously round the clock at full load. This is absolutely maintenance-free, silent, and static with shelf life of 15-18 years.
