Servo controlled ac voltage stabilizer developed by gogate electosystems is an efficient regulator which protects equipments from dangers due to undesirable mains supply voltage fluctuations. It essentially consists of buck-boost transformer an autostat [variac], continuously variable auto transformer operated by a low inertia servo motor. Servo is a completely solid state voltage sensing and control unit. As the main input supply voltage varies, the output of the stabilizer also varies. This change in output voltage is continuously sampled and fed to the control unit. The control unit controls the servo motor, the shaft of which is coupled to the arm of autostat. The buck-boost transformer has a primary winding, which is connected across the variable output of the autostat. The secondary winding is connected in series between the input and output terminals. The control circuit drives the motor in such a direction that the output of the stabilizer is set to the desired level. Servo stabilizer finds application focomputers, xerox machines, laboratory instruments, medical diagnostic instruments etc. This stabilizer offers an input voltage of 170-270v ac, 1 phase and input frequency of 50 hz along with output voltage of 230 +/-1 percent vac, 1 phase and output frequency of 50 hz.
