Witzenmann GmbH was established in 1854 as a jewellery manufacturer in Pforzheim, southern Germany, by Heinrich Witzenmann. Witzenmann GmbH later invented the metal hose in the year 1885 along with Eugene Levevasseur. The company, and its daughter concern, Witzenmann India, supplies a range of metal hoses, expansion joints, metal hose expansion joints, double-walled welded metal hoses and expansion joints, metal bellows and multi-ply axial expansion joints for use in the chemicals industry and production plants. Constructional features of these bellows include: corrugated bellows combine high pressure resistance with low displacement force and optimised all-round expansion capacity. These bellows are available with nominal widths from DN 3 and for nominal pressures up to 500 bar. Depending on their use, the bellows are also welded together with customer-specific connecting pieces. These corrugated bellows find their applications in construction of fittings, measurement and control engineering, aviation and space engineering as well as machine ad system construction. Corrugated bellows are available as one-well or multiple-wall designs, and in different sizes and materials.
