Akay marketing offers hi-flex ksw type elastomeric couplings which are similar to crs couplings but without spacer. In these couplings the drive is transmitted through free-floating snap wrap. These snap wraps are of high quality rubber suitable for use in most of the conditions. The snap wrap, which is central load carrying member, can be replaced without disturbing hubs or drive and driven members. The elastomeric couplings find application in chemical pumps, diesel engines, multiple generator sets and other such drives. They can take combination of parallel and angular misalignment of shafts.
