Stelmec switchgear manufactures bus ducts for interconnection of switchboard with transformer or another switchboard. The company manufactures phase segregated as well as phase non-segregated bus-ducts. The designing and sizing of individual bus-ducts is tailor-made to suit customer requirements. Following standard ratings are available: 415 v, up to 3150 a, up to 50 ka/1 sec; 7.2/12 kv, up to 3150 a, up to 40 ka/3 sec, 36 kv, 1250a, 25 ka/3sec. Construction: the enclosure is constructed using superior quality sheet steel. Formed construction provides a sturdy and lightweight design. All fabricated parts are thoroughly cleaned and coated with a primer followed by two coats of paint. The bus-duct covers are gasketed for protection against dust/vermin entry. Bus bars of aluminium or copper can be provided as required by the customer. Bus-bars are liberally sized to ensure good long life performance of the bus-duct. Earth bus of gi/copper is provided on outer surface of bus-duct enclosure. Bus bars are supported on: smc supports for low voltage bus-ducts. Epoxy resin cast supports for high voltage bus-ducts. Adequate air clearances are provided to ensure trouble-free operation. Additionally the bus bars can be provided with heat shrunk pvc sleeve and bolted joints covered with removable dmc shrouds.
