Product Profile of Induction Melting Furnace
Melting by induction is one of the most popular applications. Our furnaces, can be used for ferrous - non ferrous metals melting. They are solid state "thyristor based" and are software controlled. In addition, we can provide solid state igbt based furnaces useful for melting of small quantities of precious metals like gold, silver & platinum. Salient features :-
- Advance solid state technology
- Reliable performance/ minimum maintenance
- Smooth hydraulic tilting crucible
- Highly energy efficient [>90%]
- Portable/ reduced floor area
- Precise accurate heat control
- 24 hour round the clock working
- Instant startup/ no idle time
- Low priced as compared to tube based units
Medium power range : 50 kw to 750 kw
Recommended for small foundries for ferrous and non ferrous melting"custom designed" tilting type crucibles for melting volumes between 50 kg & 1500 kg. For meeting high production demands, dual station model is available for simultaneous melting in two crucibles.
High power range : 900 kw to 4000 kw
Recommended for heavy duty applications.
Suitable for melting volumes between 1 mt to 8 mt.
The customer is helped to select the most suitable machine model & compatible water cooling arrangement. These machines provide low cost solutions for various applications and save substantial amount of power as the efficiency is more than any conventional machines, which in itself can recover your cost of operation within short span of usage.
Advantages of melting by induction furnace
- Metal melts easily, with negligible melting loss
- Induction has inherent churning resulting in better metal homogeneity
- Induction also enhances metal quality
- No impurities are introduced during melting by induction
- Heating time and temperature can be precisely controlled. As an option, the system is available with infrared temperature controls, which allows for the exact control of metal temperature during melting
- Available in various models with different melting capacities, suiting different applications
- High production rates. Faster melting allows faster turn around of the inventory. Short heat cycles
- Can usually be operated by unskilled personal & is user friendly
- Significant reduction in pollution & distortion. Produces no smoke or soot
- Inbuilt safety protections
- As compared with conventional furnaces, which are flammable, induction wins clearly in safety issues
- As compared with a gas furnace, induction is virtually silent & doesn`t heats surroundings, whereas the former would have generated a lot of heat & noise.
