Sahasra electronics offers usb data acquisition & control device manufactured by labjack corporation. The labjack u12 features usb connection, watchdog timer, 12-bit analogue inputs [8se/4diff] with pga, 2 analogue outputs, 20 bits of digital i/o, and a 32-bit counter. The device provides an interface between a pc and the real world. Software timing provides update rates up to 50 hz for all parameters, while hardware timing enables analogue/digital input rates up to 1200 hz [continuous] or 8192 hz [burst]. Most connections are accessed using built-in screw terminals, eliminating the need for costly connection blocks. The device includes a usb cable, example application software, and drivers [dll, activex, vis] that work with most languages including c, visual basic, and labview.
