Vivek engineers has introduced slip ring motors. These are made to suit materials handling equipment like cranes and hoists. These are designed and manufactured as per isi and international frame sizes and are interchangeable with any good make of motors. These motors are equipped to obey is 325 as well as ipss and is 1231 for performance and dimensional fitments. Both stator and rotor windings are manufactured with class f [155°c] insulation. Rotors are preloaded on the shaft to avoid the movements over the shaft. Carbon brushes are made of cu-graphited cubes. They are shaped and fitted on slip rings in order that almost negligible voltage drop [and sparking] would occur during working. Spare connection boxes and windows are given for commissioning and maintenance. Motors come from 1.5 hp through 35 hp in speeds 1,000/750 and 600 rpm [6 pole/8 pole and 10pole]. Also, these are suitable for 150 and 300 starts per hour duty cycles.
