Rajdeep Engg Industries Pvt Ltd, has collaborated with Centa Antriebe of Germany, to launch Centa couplings. Centamax series are amongst the highest torsionally elastic couplings available in the market and these are specialised for diesel engine drives. The entire range covers 12 sizes for the torque -range from 100 to 36,000 Nm. Centa couplings can be used for 1-cylinder engines with a few kW to very large multi-cylinder engines with about 3,000 kW capacities. Some of the salient features Centa couplings include torsionally very soft with no backlash, linear characteristics, temperature resistant, good heat dissipation due to special air flow over disc, and suitable for high speeds. The major areas of application of these instruments are splitter gears, compressors, ship propulsion, generator sets, pumping sets and locomotives.
