The new suction pads have been developed further by vacuum specialist j.Schmalz gmbh in d-72293 glatten with additional various innovative and useful features based on the standard suction-pad series saf and sab. The latest bellows suction pad sabt-c and flat suction pad of two different elastomers results in an optimized friction value provided by hardwearing friction disc. The suction pad of the modular vacuum gripper can be replaced separately without changing the friction disc and the nipple when worn. This operation is done by loosening a hexagon-head cap screw on the tooling, pulling off the suction pad, fitting the new pad and tightening the screw. This unique feature ensures better handling and timesavings while reducing the costs. The entire suction pad is made of plastic materials and so it does not need to be disassembled for recycling thus resulting in better environmental friendliness. The sabt-c and saft-c suction pads are useful for applications for dynamic handling of sheet-metal parts with feeders and industrial robots and for links in press lines. The suction pads are also suitable for handling thin steel sheets and aluminium sheets without deformation due to their special design.
