These insulators used as post insulators, Bus bar supports, disconnecting switches and circuit breaker posts. The number of metal fittings in multi cone insulator are reduced. Deflection of multi cone insulators is lower than equivalent solid core insulators. Multi cone insulators are available in various types. These are provided with only one bolted joint and reduce field erection costs.
