The Chargecon controllers for industrial automatic battery chargers use the switching mode technology. Low power battery chargers are simple and of constant voltage type. However, large capacity chargers are of constant voltage constant current type with automatic change-over between float & boost modes. Protections against DC under voltage, DC over voltage, DC over load, etc are available optionally. Diligent Chargecon is a specially designed controller to control charging of very large batteries. It has the provision for automatic change over between Float and Boost mode of charging. It can also execute extended charging and battery cell conditioning whenever required in some applications. This controller is common irrespective of the power rating of the charger. This makes the complete charger very simple to use, most power efficient, no need to have high capacity filter, easy & low cost maintenance, etc.
