Product Profile of Changeover Switches

Havells india ltd offers changeover switches under the brand name of euroload. Euroload has modular construction. The capacity of the switches is 40a, 63a, 80a & 100a and they conforms to is13947-1 & 3 / iec 60947-1 & 3 standard. There are two load switch disconnections in the module, which are combined with common outgoing. A single handle, having i-o-ii position operate that. Euroload comes with following features: quick make switching mechanism, quick break type independent of the speed of the operation, four breaks per pole to ensure faster quenching of arc, nylon 66 fr grade materials is used to manufacture the housing of entire switching mechanism. Contact mechanism features include:

• High electrical & mechanical endurance.

• Enclosed housing to avoid dust ingress.

• Double break contacts per pole.

• Load and line reversibility.

• Provision of phase seperators, add-on auxiliary switch

• Door interlock and padlock facility, telescopic operating shaft.

• Extended outgoing terminals.

Operating mechanism has single side front operated handle to operate the spring assisted toggle mechanism. The operating shaft displays position indication.
In position `i`, supply i [main] is connected to the load, supply ii is off.
In position `o`, supply i & ii are both disconnected from the load
In position `ii`, supply ii [standby] is connected to the load, supply i is off.
Hence in none of the cases, supply i & ii are connected simultaneously
