Shridhan international has offered a miniature horizontal float switch, which is an import substitution product for the hydraulic machine tool, chemical and other industries. This float switch has significantly simplified the problem of sensing in liquid storage vessels. These switches contain a fixed stem to which a cylindrical float is hinged and the float moves up and down along with the liquid level. There is a permanent magnet housed in the float that actuates and deactuates the hermetically sealed reed switch positioned in the stem as the liquid level rises and falls. The miniature float switch can be applied either to block rising liquid level or failing liquid level depending on mounting position.
