Us series universal slide units from precitec are particularly engineered to suit special purpose machines. These us series universal slide units can be utilized both table units for mounting fixtures where feed/indexing is provided to job; and for spindle feed where feed/indexing of spindles are needed. The salient technical features of the us series universal slide units include: carriage or table is of superior grade ci machined on all sides, sliding surfaces lined with turcite for low wear and tear and stick-slip free movement; rectangular guideways, case hardened to 58"62 hrc to get very high consistency and durability; guideways attached on rigid high grade ci/ rigidly made, stress relieved slide base, well designed to carry even heavy cutting loads; slides have narrow guide system with a taper gib for adjusting the clearance; when slides require hydraulic feed they are equipped with special feed type cylinders with low friction seals to obtain smooth feed motion; as standard, wiper can be fixed on the carriage for cleaning the hardened guideway strips; and slides incorporated with 4 proximity elements fixed on the unit for feed control along with proper trip dogs. These are: a. Feed end - pi; b. Home 2 - p2; c. Home 1 - p3; and d. Feed change over - p4. All 4 proximity switches and trip dogs are manufactured by technic euchner. Proximity switches p2, p3, p4 are enclosed inside the acrylic cover of the us series universal slide units. P1 switch is set at rear end and inside the telescopic cover. The us series universal slide units from precitec is fitted with adjustable mechanical stop [screw and nut] at top of the hydraulic cylinder.
