Haris enterprise manufactures strain gauges constructed by bonding a fine electric resistance wire or photo and are etched metallic resistance foil to an electric insulation base attaching gauge leads. External force applied to any elastic material generates stress, which subsequently generate strain in deformation of material which is measured to determine the degree of forces like stress or load. The strain generated in the specimen is relayed through the base to the fine wire or foil, where expansion or contraction occurs resulting in fine wire or foil experiencing resistance variation proportional to the strain. The resistance change is very small and requires a wheatstone bridge circuit to convert it to voltage output. The strain gauges are connected to a strain meter and measured on a digital or analogue display. The company provides various strain gauges for mechanical, marine, aircraft, civil engineering applications and in automobile, architecture, and medical sectors.
