Data i/o corpn is introducing an automated device programmer that fits on a desktop. The flx500 plug- and-program system comes with a language-dependent touchscreen user interface, requires no special installation and can be plugged into a standard wall outlet. A self-contained air supply side- steps the need for an external air system. The programmer, with its modular design, gives the lowest possible changeover times. It supports high-speed programming for all flash and serial memory devices, including nand flash and programmable microcontrollers. Moreover, it supports bga, microbga, csp, plcc, tsop and qfp packages amongst others. Throughput is more than 500 devices/ hour.
