Engis plated tools are made of a single layer of either diamond or cbn particles that are bonded to the tool surface by a nickel matrix. This bonding process allows the manufacture of tools with variety of forms and contours. These tools are used in applications requiring the grinding of deep forms such as splines, slots, gear teeth and deep grooves.
