Ssp provides spray dryers that are relatively simple in operation. Function of these spray dryers are like it accepts and feed in fluid state and convert it into a dried particulate form by spraying the fluid into a hot drying medium. Feed atomisation is done using high pressure nozzle, high pressure air, or two fluid nozzles. The heating method of drying air can be of either steam coils or thermic fluid or air heater according to the service conditions available. Hot air is distributed into the chamber from top by an air disperser. The fines produced are taken out from the top/centre along with air to a cyclone separator and separated, and the final powder gets collected at the bottom. Additional systems like fines recycling into the chamber for agglomeration, powder cooling, conveying, storage and bagging are optionals. Some of the salient features include: less wear and tear of atomising system due to absence of any moving parts; flexibility in controlling powder quality and production of instant powders; less down time for maintenance purposes; possibility of expanding capacity up to 100 per cent; flexibility of drying different products in one dryer; and winch driven special cleaning lift.
