Das associates offers a centrifuge. This is used for separation of solids from liquids. It has been developed particularly for filtration of cutting oil, to remove abrasives and other metallic particles. The system is suitable for water-soluble coolants as well as for straight cutting oils, which are used in operations like grinding, honing, lapping and other superfinishing work. These units are available as fully automatic systems, as well as semi-automatic systems. Advantages: as there are no filter media such as elements, paper, etc, there is no choking and hence it is more effective for straight cutting oils; filter element replacement is not required; no recurring cost of filter paper; efficient with both magnetic as well as non-magnetic impurities; and, filtration level is 20 microns right from the beginning. It is not necessary to wait till the formation of the cake.
