Esab india ltd along with ab ph nederman & co, sweden, has manufactured a range of electro-static precipitators [esp] applying the concept of capture at source and brings. The electro-static precipitators are available in mobile and fixed models and can handle 1000 m3/hr to 8000 m3/hr air volume. The precipitator functions when the larger particles are captured in the mechanical pre filter allowing the air flow past ionising wire where small particles move onwards, a powerful electrostatic field pulls charged particles towards the cells and they adhere to the collector plates. Double electrostatic cells of the electro-static precipitators [esp] give a high level of purification. The fumes are captured directly at source. The indicator light and audible alarm triggers when filters become saturated and can no longer operate at maximum efficiency. The cleaning procedure of washing with water and detergent should be initiated.
