Industries Syndicate has introduced DC electromagnetic contactors. The equipment includes an existing range of 7 types each in single- and double-pole versions. These versions are intended for remote control of 110-600 V DC lighting and power circuits for starting and control of motors or similar devices in industrial and mining application. The company also offers single-pole DC contactor rated 150, 300 and 500 A, of coil voltage 220 V DC suitable for systems up to 600 V DC. This addition is useful in DC drives and controls along with thyristor controls and can endure power and voltage surges normally present in thyristor circuits.
