An exclusive range of rotating unions has been specially designed by deublin of usa to meet the demanding requirements of high speed paper machines. Both theoretically and practically it has been established that stationary siphons perform better at high speeds. Therefore, the blend of stationary siphon and balanced sealing design has been integrated for the rotating unions designed for paper industry applications such as in high speed dryers, calendars, pope reels, and swing cylinders. The fs series unions contain a stationary siphon with a pick up shoe that hydroplanes on a film of condensate averting contact with the dryer shell. Its balanced sealing arrangement decreases the surface friction between seals appreciably, consequently enhancing the life of the seals. These fs series unions come with bell support, bracket support and rod support and generally used in swing cylinders and cooling cylinders. There is also an h series union that is available in self supported pressure joint design and can be applied in steam as well as hot oil services. H series union`s self-supporting design is effected by too widely spaced carbon graphite bearings best suited for open gear paper machines. Gs series union has spherical mechanical seals. This mechanism enables the thrust load incorporated by steam pressure being applied to the external support of the housing but not on the seal while lower pressure on the seal face decreases friction and torque and extends life of the seal. These gs series unions are particularly made for yankee dryers. For hot oil applications at high speeds such as up to 850 rpm and pressure within 6 bars, the ck series unions are applied. Its exclusive sealing system uses special seal materials to resist abrasion and to provide maximum heat dissipation. This series of unions functions successfully at both elevated speeds and temperatures.
