Deublin of usa manufactures rotating unions for transfer of water at high pressure combined with high speed but low torque, especially designed for high pressure rotating concrete and asphalt cleaning machines. In spite of the high speed and pressure, the torque exerted is minimum which is has been possible by a combination of large deep groove precision ball bearings and a low balance ratio mechanical seal. The balanced mechanical seals allows a thin film of water to provide self-lubrication of seals while a slinger arrangement directs water away from the bearings preventing contamination. Use of tungsten cartide as sealing material makes the union resistant to corrosion and wear. These unions are able to take a maximum water pressure of 276 bar and speeds up to 2,000 rpm.
