Product Profile of Medium Voltage Instrument Transformers

Vijai electricals employs high grade electrical paper for primary insulation, transformer oil as impregnant, paper covered cables for primary windings, enamelled copper conductors for secondary windings.
All the important materials namely copper cables, toroidal cores, core laminations, insualtion paper and transformer oil are produced in-house, to exercise good control on the quality of the final product.
High quality control standards are adopted at all stages of material procurement, manufacturing and processing to ensure long, trouble-free service.
Current transformer designs are type tested at cpri for

• Short time current tests at 25ka for 3 seconds and dynamic peak in excess of 62.5ka.

• Impulse voltage withstand tests at 75kv for 11kv and 170kv for 33kv

• High voltage wet power frequency withstand test

• Heat run test.

Ratings Current transformers Primary : currents upto 1200 amps
Secondary : up to five cores with any specified output and accuracy for meeting, protection and special purpose protection.
Special designs with higher s.T.C. & higher bil can be supplied on request.

• Voltage transformers

Primary : single phase line to ground connection or line to line connection for special purposes.
Secondary: maximum three windings for metering & protection. Voltage factors upto 1.9.
Three phase residual v.T.`s neutral fully insulated can be supplied for capacitor bank protection on request.
