Haas automation has introduced the new ec - 630 horizontal machining centre which is proven workhouse built with a host of productivity features in the standard configuration. The power to cut everything from high nickel alloy steel to fine finished aluminum is built into the machine. The ec - 630 has the largest capacity and a high production machine. It features in a 40" x 32" x 35" work envelope,with a 50 - taper geared head spindle, a dual pallet changer and a built - in 5 degree pallet indexer.The horizontal machining centre is also available in a high precision 1 - degree indexer or full 4th axis . Each 630 mm pallet handles a 2640 lb load and then unload parts or change fixtures on one pallet while parts are being machined on the other - keeping spindle run time at a maximum.The ec -630 is aptly designed and equipped with a large volume coolant tank and a high capacity belt conveyer for effient chip removal which helps it to operate long cycle productions with minimal downtime.
