Vwm wiremesh is prefabricated to rectangular or square steel mesh consisting of a series of parallel, longitudinal, cold-worked high-yield steel wires welded at regular intervals to transverse wires. Vwm fabric is manufactured on automatic welding machines, ensuring uniform spacing of wires and consistent cross-sectional areas. The welding is accomplished by an electronically-controlled electrical process employing the principle of fusion combined with pressure, which actually fuses the intersecting wires into a homogeneous section without loss of strength. The wires used in the fabric are cold drawn from controlled quality mild steel wire rods with carbon contents generally less than 0.15 per cent.
