United Technologists is the manufacturer of Filtration Fabrics. The United Technologists Group is a BSI registered company. There are various types of Filtration Fabrics and they are Individual Micro Pours Filter, Filter Aid Bag, Bulk Filtration Medium and Combi Slag Filters.
Individual Micro Pours Filter is a carbonized filter to withstand a high temperature and is available in a mesh size of 10 x10 [100 holes / Sq. Inch]. It can be cut into any size as per requirement. This type of filter is being widely used in GDC for individual casting of components like Pistons etc.
Filter Aid Bag is also known as Combo bags and it is a recent version of filtering media and has been of great advantage to all aluminum industry. All major Aluminum producers use these bags globally and feed back on these bags performance has been encouraging. The advantage of this filter is, it can be designed as per requirement to suit to their exact application.
Bulk Filtration Medium is manufactured in many mesh sizes depending on the percentage of open area required by the users to facilitate and regulate the flow of molten metal. The Bulk Filtration Medium is also known as High Twist HT Fibre Glass Filter Cloth, it comes with ceramic coating to withstand the high temperature and thermal shock for extended time duration and its mesh sizes ranges form 25 holes per square inch to 400 holes per square inch.
Combi Slag Filters is a filter media interlaced with different types of meshes and can be assembled to suit any user`s application. This type of filter finds application in gravity sand castings, semi pressure die casting and it can be used as an alternative for expensive Ceramic Honey Comb Filters.
