Taecl supplies high current, 125 ampere ac input and ac output current single phase solid state relays in the small size of 57 x 44 mm. These ssrs are manufactured by the tar process. This process supplies a low thermal resistance from power chip to the package. Hybrid construction has made it possible to use a small package for 125 amp current, yielding a more reliable ssr. Following are some electrical features of this single phase ssr which include: ac/ac zero crossing ssrs are designed to have input ac voltage in the range of minimum 90 v ac and maximum 280 v ac; output peak voltage can be provided up to 1,400 v with thyristor output on request; zero crossing ssr is preferred for resistive as well as capacitive load as it gives a slow rise, lowers in-rush current, which minimises mains disturbance and - rfi, and prolongs the life of the load and the ssr; for duty-cycle [on-off] base, in order to receive low voltage peaks and current peaks during switching-on, this zero cross switching ssr is preferred.
