They are split through flange and taper to provide a true clamp on the shaft that is the equivalent of a shrink fit. The versatile Quick Detachable - QD Bushings permit the mounting of the same mating part on shafts of different diameters, and the mounting of different sheaves on the same shaft using the same bushing.
Key Features of Quick Detachable - QD Bushings
- Flangeless "L" Series A flangeless line of Sure-Grip bushings is also available in sizes "SKL" through "FL". These bushings are used on products that do not have sufficient clearance to position the bushing flange under the outside rim.
- They are easy to install and remove all sizes except "QT" and "JA" is supplied with a set screw over the key to help maintain the bushing position on the shaft until the mounting cap screws are securely torque. The cap screws that are used for mounting are also used for quick removal of the bushing. The positive locking feature of the clamp fit eliminates fretting corrosion between the shaft and the bone.
