Southern automac systems manufactures micro controller based uv-002 flame scanners for oil/coal flames. The unit can also detect ultra violet radiation emitted during combustion process in the furnace but not detects emissions from other hot sources inside the furnace. The uv flame scanner comes with self-checking mechanism for monitoring healthiness of the flame sensors that makes it highly reliable. The signal conditioner cum controller accommodates two uv detector head assemblies. The company provides two groups of 6-digit seven segment displays to view the flame intensity in numerical values. The scanners can configure flame relays to indicate flame/no flame condition and the self-checking shall be set to auto mode for conducting test with preset time interval and latch the fault relay, if the test fails.
