Premier offers cable harness tester, model cht 4550. It is a microprocessor based cable harness tester for cable assemblies up to 320 points in steps of 24 points. It is fully programmable where one can have various information like: the number of tests being carried out, the number of successful tests carried out, code for the testing workman, and code for the type of harness being tested. The display indicates passed with an audible beeper, when the cable harness is in order. However, if the cable harness is defective, user gets the detailed information about the type of defect and can scroll through all the defects by repeatedly pressing a button. Alternatively, the detailed information of the type of defect scrolls through automatically at 3 seconds per defect cycle. The fail display comes with an audible beeper. The cable harness tester can be hooked with a dot matrix printer or offloaded into a computer via rs232-c serial, output for analysis.
