Kana electromechs offer conveyor and safety switches. These switches are designed to the man & machine safety and to avoid accidents occurring due to system problems.
These switches are broadly classified in to three main types viz.
Belt sway switches.
Pull cord switches.
Heavy duty limit switches.
Belt sway switches : In belt conveyors, belt swaying occurs due to uneven loading, misalignment of the idlers and due to worn surfaces. To restrict belt swaying within the tolerable limits belt sway switches are useful.
Pull cord switches : Pull cord switches are useful for emergency stopping of conveyors from any point by the way of pulling the rope connected to the switch.
Heavy duty limit switches : Heavy duty limit switches find their application in sensing the over travel or movement of the machine.
All these safety switches are housed in robust dmc [engineering plastic] housing which has very good mechanical strength.
It is resistant to alkaline and acidic medium. These switches are ideally suitable for cement, chemical, steel, coal, and other host of industries where conveyors and moving machines are required.
Common general features:
Same enclosure for belt sway, pullcord and limit switches.
Same overall and mounting dimensions ensures the reduction in variety of mounting brackets.
Standardized design and molded construction allows interchangeability of parts. No proprietary items are used.
Heavy duty cam switch having robust contacts for long service life.
Output contacts rated for 16 amp. At 440 vac.
Switches are protected against accidental over travel of the operating lever.
Special rubber ‘o’ ring on the shaft for better ingress protection.
Dmc housing ensures dimensional stability, good mechanical strength, protection from corrosion and provides electrical insulation.
Water and dust tight to ip-65 grade construction, ideal for field mounting.
Units with built-in terminal box incorporating molded terminals are available optionally.
