KU-HT version Swing gate valve widely used in waste water industry is a metal seated valve suitable for high temperature up to 900 Degree C specially designed for bed ash discharge where generally manual plate valves are used.
Key Features of KU-HT Version Swing Gate Valve
- Metal to Metal to Metal face sealing for material tight shutoff across the gate.
- The top housing is provided with a baffle at the inlet to guide the flow of material towards the centre and not towards the peripheral sealing fitted in the top housing.
- Gate having beveled knife-edge at bottom to cut through standing columns.
- The bottom housing is provided with tapering surfaces to enable material to slide towards the outlet and eliminate the possibility of material retention.
- The swinging movement of the gate is performed by actuation of lever through 60-70°. This enables effortless open and close operation of valve in few seconds.
- The gate does not come out of the housing unlike a slide gate valve. A axle is welded to the gate and the axle operates in a bearing box packed with o-rings so as to make the valve leak tight to the environment.
- The metallic seal is fitted in a groove provided in the top housing. This sealing remains out of the material flow thereby greatly reducing the possibilities of wear.
- The adjustable supporting bolts/supporting ring provides full support to the bottom of the gate in valve closed position.
- Purging holes provided on top housing enables remove material retention, if any, inside the valve.
