Aurangabad-based mikronix has developed cnc automatic slip gauge calibrator for calibration of 0.5 to 100 mm long slip gauges. The slip gauge to be measured is compared with reference master whose deviation at centre is exactly known. With two measuring probes one at top and other at the base the differential measurement give reliable measurement with extremely high accuracy. A template profile of the calibrators allow probes to trace 5 points on the surface of the slip gauge under test and one at the centre point of the reference master. The manual remote control allow smooth movement of slip gauge without jerk and interference from body heat.
