Membrane filtration systems manufactures a wide range of membrane bag filters. They are designed so as to meet the highly critical applications, and are capable of pre-filtration and fine-filtration combined in a single bag. The filters perform two operations in one cycle. Primary or the pre-filter media of fibrous matrix entraps the finest particles through depth filtration and secondary or fine-filter is a microporous membrane, which removes the finest particles by surface filtration. The bag is made up of needle punched polypropylene fibre and a membrane of non-pigmented acrylic copolymer coating over and within the matrix of a strong non-woven nylon support fabric. It heat-sealed and bonded to ensure total integrity to operate at temperature of 80°c maximum. It is available with 0.45 micron to 10 micron porosity. The filters offer high flow rates, minimal pressure drop, built-in pre/post filtration, high contaminant holding capacity, mess-free handling, extended life, and lower operating costs. They are used for the filtration of all kinds of alcohols, bases, esters, ethers, glycols, oils, photoresists, halogenated hydrocarbons, formaldehydes, gasoline, hexane, kerosene, turpentine, etc, besides water.
