Marmagoa steel ltd [msl], supplies spring steel and alloy steel, situated in goa. This port-based plant is equipped with modern infastructure consisting of 30 mt electric arc furnace [with ebt], lrf, [with casi wire injector], bloom caster with ems [size up to 200 x 200 mm], vacuum degassing and rolling mills. Installed capacity of the plant is 110000 tpa. Msl is an iso 9001:2000, and iso 14001: 2004 certified company. Over the years, the company has pioneered the technology for production of quality spring steel flats, used for manufacture of leaf springs for commercial vehicles, railway and automobiles, etc. It has further ventured into production of value added steels used in light engineering and automobile industry. In a very short time the product has been well accepted by the forging industry and oems. Msl is further broadening its base by backward and forward integration. The company is in the process of setting up its own captive sponge iron manufacturing unit and captive power plant. In its forward integration program, it is planning to set up a modern leaf spring and parabolic spring manufacturing unit. With this the plant capacity will be in excess of 150000 tpa.
